Unil won the Ethical Trade Award 2025 for having been “a committed member and active member of Ethical Trade for over ten years.

They work purposefully and strategically with social sustainability.
And show that ethical trade can be integrated into the core of a large business with a broad portfolio and many products.

It requires holistic, systematic and inspiring work with sustainability in complex value chains.
This winner has chosen to be open about both challenges and results through both websites and reports.
In this way, they contribute to learning and inspiration throughout the industry.
They participate in several improvement projects in the value chain, including in the Nordic countries, Turkey, Pakistan and Vietnam, and focus on measures that contribute to positive change for workers.

With strong roots in management and a dedicated sustainability team, they show how systematic work can produce results for both people, society, animals and the environment.”
